Zn + PVC Gabion (Zn + PVC Factory)
Star Mesh can supply all current sizes and shapes of gabions, twisted as well as welded mesh gabions, zinc-galvanised, aluminum-zinc galvanised or zinc-galvanised and plastified. We also try to meet any special requirements. - A landscape element realised in welded mesh gabions, which are also used for purposes of retaining earth.

Technical specifications of gabions
Gabions are flexible mesh wire boxes filled with stone.
Standard sizes:
cross-section: 0,5x0,5m, 1x0,3m, 1x0,5m, 1x1m en 1x1,5m in legths of 1m, 2m, 3m.

Twisted gabions are available with the following mesh openings and wire diameters:
Mesh openings in mm: 60x80; 80x100 and 100x120
Wire diameters in mm: 2,0 to 3,0
(re-enforced selvedge wire) Tie wire: 2,4 mm (supplied on coils)
Gabion mattrasses for purposes of erosion control are availble in the following sizes:
Thickness in cm: 17, 23 en 30
Standard sizes in m: 2x2, 2x3 ... 2x6.
Welded gabions are available in the following mesh openings and wire diameters:
Mesh openings in cm: 5x5; 7,5x7,5; 10x10; or 10x5 Wire diameters between 3,0 and 5,0 mm.

Gabion structures are built on a sand foundation of approx. 30 cm. Gabions are filled with natural rubble stone or any other type of rocky material. It is also possible to fill gabions with soil.

This requires an additional layer of geotextile lining on the inside.
